Literally the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I have always done my best to avoid the dentist office, but I will never do that again now that I have experienced the team at Advanced Smile Care and Dr. Gonzalez. Excellent customer service, excellent and thorough explanations of what is happening and what to expect throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them.

I have had a LOT of dental work through the years and advanced smile care ranks as one of the best experiences to date. The level of professionalism, care and skill set of the entire staff is highly commendable. From the moment you enter until you leave you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. I went in today as an emergency visit after one of my front teeth fractured at the gum line. After discussing my options Dr Thusu and I decided that we would try to repair the tooth with a dental post and buildup. He did such a great job, the tooth looks perfect and he made sure the fit was totally comfortable before I left his office. I don't give 5 stars to many Drs or businesses but I am happy to say they work hard to earn your trust every visit. Highly recommended.

Advanced Smile Care is a place I would recommend to everyone. I’ve been to different dental offices in the last 5 years and I am so happy to call this my dental home. My sister now comes here also and has been so happy with their services. From my cleanings to fillings, I am always so happy to be in great hands of all the staff here. I’ve worked with multiple hygienist and they are all so very kind and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Thusu and his staff show genuine care for my dental health. I am so happy I chose to come here and I am so grateful for them.

I've yet to meet a single person out there who was apathetic or unfocused. From the second you walk in with Betsey, who no matter how busy she is or how many clients are in front of her, remains joyous and welcoming to your cleaning or primary welcoming by the dental assistant who will get to know you, make you feel heard and understood, to the doctors whose focus is equally distributed between quality, care, comfort, and detail, to the treatment coordinator who helps you with your insurance and payments keeping you focused on your care and your financial needs, you know you have found a good place in Advanced Smile Care. Is this the most affordable dentist in San Antonio? No. Is it one of the best? Yes. Absolutely. But let's set aside for a minute the fact that they welcome you with a small gift for new patients, offer you a choice of cookie at the end of your visit, and happily provide you stress balls to squeeze, and television to watch while you're being worked on with very comfortable headphones and sunglasses to keep from being blinded by the dental light. (All of which is amazing.) Let's talk about what you're really worried about. Is the work good, does it hurt, do they communicate my problem to me, and can I afford it? Is the work good? Yes. Absolutely. Does it hurt? It takes a LOT to numb me. Like an absolutely ridiculous amount. Does Dr. Thusu worry about it? Nope. He starts working on me and if I even close to expressed that I was able to feel it in any way, here comes the injection. He jabbed me more times than I think we can count. He wanted to make SURE I was as comfortable as possible. Do they follow up if something isn't right? Yup. Does something not feel quite right after your appointment? Dr. Benjamin saw me on the fly to make sure my filling was filed down to comfort for me. She didn't make a big deal of it, she just welcomed me back with open arms and said, "Let's fix this up so it's comfortable." I was in and out very quickly. Do they communicate your problem to you? Yes. They are very honest about what is going on with your teeth. You want to know more? They'll sit and explain it to you, and when I had misinterpreted something and was freaking out about it, Kayla reassured me over the phone and made SURE my tech, Joanna, called me back and she went over it again and again to put my mind at ease. Can you afford it? They take insurance, and really, that's up to your insurance. But they do offer payment plans, which is awesome, so even if you're struggling, they will do their best to work with you and make sure you are taken care of. But here's the most important thing. Dental work is scary for so many people. It can be painful, and you're vulnerable, and you need to trust the people who are digging around in a small and sensitive area. If you don't trust your dentist, you are going to tense up, you're going to fight back (even if you don't mean to) and you're going to make the job harder. Advanced Smile Care, everyone there, makes sure you are at the most ease you can be. Their stress is not your stress, and they don't ever let it show. They have awesome technology to show your teeth in a new and special way. They focus on you. They listen to you. And best of all, they care about you. Go on, give them a try.
